Mount Sangeang Api can be seen spewing pyroclastic smoke high into the air from the window of a passing commercial flight. The pictures were taken by professional photographer Sofyan Efendi during a flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo in West Nusa Tenggara province. The flight offered Efendi the chance to get a unique vantage point on the volcanic activity, with the entire outline of the island of visible beneath the smoke.
