Raccoon with head stuck in a storm drain Raccoon gets head stuck in drain, Framingham, Massachusetts, America - 21 Nov 2014 These hapless racoon found itself in an awkward position - after getting its head stuck in a storm drain. The unfortunate critter was discovered with its head trapped in the metal grating in Framingham, Massachusetts last week. Thankfully, Stormwater Supervisor Brooks McCarty and Animal Control Officer Kathy MacKenzie came up with a slick idea to help: they applied dish soap to the problem and the racoon was able to be freed. McCarty told MetroWest Daily News: "We soaped his head up and pulled and pulled and twisted. All of a sudden he just popped out and she let him go and he stood there confused and then just ran up into a tree." (credit:Brooks McCarty/FDPW/Rex Mandatory )
