The rover made its first move, Wednesday, going forward about 15 feet (4.5 meters), rotating 120 degrees and then reversing about 8 feet (2.5 meters). BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, drives his Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car through central London, following it's restoration to make it road legal, the car, which it is believed he paid almost £500,000, starred in the film of the same title. The car was expected to fetch between £600,000 and £1.2million, but eventually sold for £495,415 at an auction in Los Angeles last May. There were several Chitty Chitty Bang Bang cars made for the film, but only one that actually worked. The vehicle was designed by Ken Adam and built by the Ford Racing Team and is powered by a Ford three-litre V6 engine, with a dashboard plate from a British World War I fighter plane. During the build up to the London 2012 Paralympic Games, British Airways is welcoming international Paralympians into London Heathrow Airport with a series of giant images of ParalympicsGB athlete Shelly Woods projected on to the airline's engineering hangars with the message 'Welcome To Our Manor' and are visible to competitors and passengers before touch down.The images have been displayed for thousands of passengers to see during the busiest two days for international Paralympian arrivals for the Paralympic Games (Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 August).
