Open Image ModalThese stunning images capture a graceful show by a rare white whale. Hobby photographer Jenny Dean managed to shoot the action last month as the humpback dived out of the water in Etty Bay near Innisfail, far north Queensland. The mother-of-three, who is a clinical nurse and midwife, was on a whale-watching trip with her husband when they spotted the amazing mammal in the water. It could have been Migaloo, thought to be the only all white humpback whale in the world. Migaloo is believed to migrate up the east coast of Australia from Antarctica to the warmer waters of Tropical North Queensland. "It was an amazing experience, incredible to see that huge creature propel out of the water with such ease and agility. Even better to catch some pictures and they even worked out OK which considering the boat was rocking and Migaloo was very fast and unpredictable is double lucky."

Open Image ModalSix months after the Findon Skid Kids failed fire jump left three teens in hospital, the club yesterday made a triumphant leap through the flames. It was February when the flaming cardboard the riders jumped through failed to break up as planned and instead stuck to the riders, leaving spectators to rush to their aid with blankets and water. Yesterday however, several practice jumps and new safety measures made it smooth riding through the fireball and the feat had hundreds of fans cheering. Findon Skid Kids President Allan Staunton said despite Februarys unfortunate mishap, the jump was never in doubt of returning. "Everything was done to the right safety specifications", Mr Staunton said. "We couldnt can it after 55 years. It is a tradition that is part of this club. Had the conditions been different if it was windy we probably wouldnt have done it".
