Taller than the Tower of London, longer than a tennis court and as lengthy as a blue whale - earlier today Mexican restaurant group Benito’s Hat created the biggest burrito the UK has ever seen at a whopping 100ft long! To raise funds for humanitarian organisation Action Against Hunger on World Food Day, Mexican food fans were invited to gather at King’s Cross Square, to see history being made as 20 Benito’s Hat team made the country’s most robust wrap. Benito’s Hat’s Pueblan-born executive chef, Felipe Fuentes Cruz orchestrated this mammoth burrito-building task, which took him over 10 hours! With over 45kg of the freshest ingredients, the burrito was a supersize version of the best selling chicken variety (including a veggie section) made in the four Benito’s Hat stores every day. It was crafted using more than 150 tortillas, 17kg chicken, 8kg of fresh tomatoes, 5.5kg of tomatillos and 1kg of coriander! Once finished, sections of the colossal creation were served up to hungry onlookers who made a suggested donation to Action Against Hunger – a leading organisation committed to ending child hunger and malnutrition.

A fireball is seen lighting up the sky above Sligachan on the Isle of Skye. The rare event was accidentally captured by landscape photographer Marcus McAdam, who has been working on a time lapse video showing a year on Skye condensed into minutes. Recently, he set his camera to record the stars over the Cuillin Mountains overnight. Describing what he discovered the next day, Marcus says: "As I was loading the images onto my computer, one thumbnail stood out as being quite different to the others, so I enlarged it and saw a huge streak across the sky". Unsure what he had captured, he asked his Facebook followers and they pointed to a news story about reports of a fireball seen in the sky. Amazingly, he has since discovered that the phenomenon he recorded was a different fireball - meaning there two within 50 miles of each other at around the same time. Marcus adds: "I've since learnt that this is an extremely rare event, and even rarer to be photographed, as the whole thing happens in less than a second".
