Prince Charles Climbing The Walls...And 40 Other Hilarious Images Of The Gung-Ho Royal (PICTURES)

Royal Is Off The Wall... 40 Pictures Of The Gung-Ho Prince
|

Clinging to a traversing wall, sweating like a horse yet barely a foot off the ground, Prince Charles shows himself to be a real trooper when it comes to mingling with the common man.

Or schoolboy. His Royal Highness was pictured on Wednesday afternoon tackling the obstacle during a tour of Grainville Secondary School in St Helier, as part of a Diamond Jubilee visit to the Channel Islands.

I was in the Army you know: HRH tackles a traversing wall

As a non-plussed small boy in army fatigues observed, the 63-year-old soldiered on, concentration etched on his noble features.

Despite looking very much like a fish-out-of water much of the time, the Prince has a reputation for rolling up his sleeves and taking a sip of normal life – often with humorous results as these pictures reveal.

Whether he’s presenting the BBC weather forecast, bouncing on armchairs or throwing awkward shapes, one has to admire his gung-ho approach to royal duties.

Bravo!
