Thousands of well-wishers have descended upon London after Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to a baby boy.
The birth was announced on an easel outside Buckingham Palace at 8.30pm on Monday, four hours after the Duchess had delivered her first child.
Hundreds of people have gathered outside the Lindo Wing, at St Mary's hospital in Paddington, west London, to catch a glimpse of the new royal family when they leave holiday.
