Shanghai Heat Wave Sees Reporter Cook Meat On Ground (VIDEO)

Shanghai is in the midst of its hottest summer on record for 150 years.
During the last month, the mercury has ranged between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, leading to one enterprising TV reporter to film a segment of himself cooking pork on a slab of marble.
Within 30 seconds the meat had turned white on one side, and in ten minutes it was ready to eat.

A piece of pork was found to be fully cooked after being left on a marble slab for ten minutes
The clip, filed by a Shanghai TV station, has gone viral on Chinese social media networks.
“It turns out that the only difference between me and roast meat is a pinch of cumin,” joked one user on Sino Weibo.

But hijinks aside, the sweltering weather has seen at least 11 deaths caused by heat stroke, China.org revealed.
Those who are elderly, pregnant and whom suffer from cardiovascular diseases have been advised to avoid going outside between 10am and 4pm, the Shenzhen Daily reported.
