Two men are fighting for their lives in hospital following a serious road crash in the Cotswolds late last night.

Emergency services were called to Hambridge Lane near Southrop in Gloucestershire at around 9.45pm following the incident.

A red Mitsubishi car, driven by a man in his 20s from the nearby Cirencester area, collided with a red Kaiser 125cc motorcycle ridden by a man in his late teens who is also local.

Gloucestershire Police said both men suffered significant injuries and were taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where they are being treated.

The road was shut for several hours while collision investigators surveyed the scene.
