Two 17-year-old boys have died after being stabbed in a quiet Milton Keynes cul-de-sac.

Emergency services were called to an address in Archford Croft, Emerson Valley, shortly before midnight on Saturday, Thames Valley Police said.

One of the victims died at the scene and the other was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died. The boys have not yet been identified, however police said their next of kin had been informed.

A neighbour who knew the victims suggested the incident was related to a house party which had been held in the vicinity, with another neighbour saying she heard a “commotion” involving screaming shortly before midnight but did not see what happened.

“The police were here pretty quick,” she said. Officers have now launched a double murder investigation.

Two men were also injured in the incident, and are in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have yet been made.

Head of crime Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter said: “Thames Valley Police is in the early stages of a double murder investigation after two teenage boys have tragically died in this shocking incident.

“Our priorities at this time are to conduct a thorough investigation and to support those who have been affected. Officers are currently at the scene which has been cordoned off and members of the public are asked to avoid the area.

“I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help with our enquiries or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Archford Croft at around the time of the incident around midnight.”

He urged anyone with information, even details that are seemingly “insignificant” to speak to police.

Members of the public with information can call 101, quoting URN 1761 19/10, or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
