Most of us are still quite devastated by the news from earlier in the week that the BBC will be closing down its Food website, leaving many furious about having to go to a different website to learn how to make avocado on toast.

As usual, the panel on 'Have I Got News For You' took it upon themselves to be the voices of reason.

"Here's what to do," Ross Noble said. "Pick the ones you like. Print them out. Shut your face."

"There's been a row at the BBC over recipes on the BBC website," Lineker said later. "Sources at the BBC include bolognese, carbonara and pesto, although I think he's just joined ITV."
