Ivanka Trump Unknowingly Donated To Hillary Clinton's Campaign

Presidential levels of #shade.

A jewellery company has thrown some major shade at the Trump family on Instagram by donating the proceeds of a purchase made by Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka to a gun control organisation, The American Immigration Council, and the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.

New York-based company Lady Grey shared an image on their Instagram account showing a note written to the real estate mogul’s offspring saying: “We’re happy to let you know that the proceeds of your sale have been generously donated to The American Immigration Council, the Everytown For Gun Safety organisation, and the Hillary Clinton Campaign. We hope you enjoy your new Lady Grey Helix Ear Cuff.”

The photo has amassed over 5,000 likes on the social media site, however some commenters were less than impressed, with some dubbing the move unprofessional and others saying it was simply a publicity stunt.

Well, if it was a grab for attention, it worked.

Donald Trump is currently trailing behind his Democratic rival in the US presidential race by 8 points. Clinton sits comfortably at 48% while Trump lags behind at 40% in the polls.

Americans will place their votes on 8 November and the victor will take the oath of office on 20 January 2017.
