Kanye West is The New Eric Morecambe

The celebrity conjures up so much nonsense, he gives Dr Seuss a run for his money on the gobbledygook front.

Kanye West's stage bombing of Beck at the 57th Grammy Awards reminds us that the man is about as stable as a tripod with two legs.

With more than just a nod to Eric Morecambe's trick of coming on stage and disrupting the flow of a straight faced guest, West rebooted his Taylor Swift stage invasion but this time seemed to run out of steam at the last minute. Even actual winner Beck was as intrigued as the rest of us to see what was on his mind and surprise surprise, it was another Beyonnce related gripe.

The rapper is obsessed with promoting Jay Z's wife to the winner's podium, no doubt turning up at their kid's sports day de-crowning the winner of the 'Mums race' claiming that Beyoncé was a better runner. Jay Z looks on confused.

Kanye is now more well known for his egotiscal ramblings than he is for his musical offerings and there's no doubting the man posesses unrivalled levels of self esteem.

We can only assume he left a Paul McKenna "I can make you confident" CD on loop and fell asleep.

He went to bed feeling a bit vulnerable and woke up thinking he was the French Revolution.

"What's wrong with Kanye Kim?"

"Why do you ask?"

"He's fallen in the pool again trying to walk on it."

You can't however, argue with Kanye's creativity credentials. The celebrity conjures up so much nonsense, he gives Dr Seuss a run for his money on the gobbledygook front. As if his brain is a randomiser that he has no semblance of control over. Take his off piste view on books for example.

"Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self absorbed. I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book's autograph."

This statement suggests that Kanye once asked a book for its autograph but was snubbed. He's never let it go. It also explains why you never see him in or near a library.

West must be constantly out of breath from blowing his own trumpet so darn hard and seems to be pretty cock sure of his abilities:

"I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh." Says Kanye without flinching. But, taking a look at his lyrics:

"You should be honoured by my lateness

That I would even show up for this fake shit

So go ahead, go nuts, go apeshit."

I'm not convinced that Shakespeare would have been happy with that...Not even for a first draft.

Love him or loath him or not give a sh*t either way, Kanye West's self belief knows no bounds and we have to trust him when he says:

"I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade. I will be the loudest voice"

...Apart from Beyoncé's.
