A man has been arrested at Buckingham Palace on suspicion of possessing a firearm, Scotland Yard said.
The 38-year-old was allegedly carrying a Taser weapon, classed by police as a firearm.
The Met said officers attended the scene and arrested the suspect near the palace’s visitors’ entrance at 1pm on Sunday.
“He remains in custody at a central London police station at this stage,” the Met added in a statement.
A Taser is a branded electroshock weapon manufactured by arms firm Axon.
It works by firing two dart like electrodes into a person whilst delivering a powerful electric charge through them.
The stun from a Taser can incapacitate a person, according to Axon.
