Open Image ModalA snapping turtle is so addicted to smoking that it consumes 10 cigarettes every day. And if the amphibian from Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, doesn't get its nicotine fix it will race around making squeaking noises. The turtle belongs to a resort restaurant and according to Chef Tang Wenyin he let the turtle try a cigarette a month ago. Surprisingly, the turtle started to suck the butt of the cigarette, and it quickly burnt to the end. Then the next day, when Tang was enjoying a cigarette, the turtle walked over and stared at him. "I then lit a cigarette for him, and it smoked it with satisfaction." Tang added: "Now each day it needs at least 10 cigarettes, and I barely could afford its hobby. If I don't give him cigarettes, he would hover around my feet, making squeaking sounds, and chase me wherever I go".
