BBC Worldwide Showcase 2015, where over 700 buyers come to view and buy the best of British TV. At the event, buyers were treated to a short film featuring John Cleese 'killing off' other famous BBC celebrities in gruesome ways in a bid to remain the most famous face from British television. Virtual entertainment then became reality, when Cleese appeared live on stage in a sketch with David Hasselhoff and his car KITT from 80s TV series Knight Rider. The Hoff aims to shoot Cleese with a gun, but the former James Bond star draws a gun of his own and shoots the Hoff instead. Finally, in a nod to one of the scenes featuring his most famous screen persona, Basil Fawlty, Cleese proceeds to batter the famous talking Pontiac Trans Am car with a sapling. Madame Tussauds London caused a stir at The O2 yesterday, as fans spotted what they thought was Taylor Swift herself, busking outside the iconic venue – as the real star practiced inside for her BRITs performance tomorrow. Named yesterday as the world’s most successful artist of 2014 by the IFPI, and nominated for International Female Solo artist at the BRITs, Madame Tussauds London celebrated by surprising fans with an impromptu ‘busk’ from their amazing wax figure.

Scientists, working with The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair, have managed to get their hands on the Crown Jewels – by GROWING their own from ingredients found in common household items such as drain un-blocker and sandpaper. The experiment was created to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers and marks Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest ever reigning monarch later this year.
