Open Image ModalOne Direction made the wishes of 30 seriously ill children come true ahead of their performance at the O2 Stadium last night (29th September 2015) at an exclusive event. The band has been ambassadors for Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity since 2012 and regularly give up their time to help grants wishes for seriously ill children in the UK. The exclusive event took place at the O2 Arena, where the band answered questions from some of their bravest fans before posing for pictures. The children, aged between 5 and17, travelled across the country to meet their idols. Amongst the audience was Morgan Doyle, 13, from Arbroath, Scotland, who is living with Leigh’s Disease, who, when given the chance to ask her idols a question, she told the boys she had travelled over 700 miles to meet them, and took the opportunity to get them to sing ‘What makes you beautiful” to her. Lily-Anne, 6, from Stoke-on-Trent, who is currently living with severe Epilepsy, asked if Niall could dance with her, showing him some of her own moves and 16 year old Abbie, from Moray, Scotland, who is currently living with Clear Cell Sarcoma, asked “my mum’s maiden name is Styles and you both have curly dark hair, are we related?” Rays of Sunshine made arrangements for the 30 youngsters and their families to travel to London to meet the world’s biggest boy band. Each of the children also received a signed One Direction T Shirt.
