These remarkable shots were taken atop China’s tallest buildings by ‘urban ninjas’ Vadim Makhorov and Vitaly Raskalov. The pair avoided Chinese authorities to scale the partly constructed Shanghai tower, reaching the summit after a two-hour ascent without safety equipment.

“We had to wait for hours for the clouds to part but it was well worth the wait,” said Vadim. “The view was like something from an aircraft window.” The building stands at 632m making it the largest building in China. Only the Burj Khalifa in the UAE is taller. “Our target was to climb the highest tower in China and the second highest in the world. It felt amazing to accomplish it,” Vadim added.
