A20 Accident: Two 'Good Samaritans' Killed In Crash As They Helped Driver Of Overturned Car

Officers are appealing for information after the men, aged 25 and 54, were hit by a Mercedes.

Two men have died after they were hit by a car as they were helping the driver of an overturned vehicle.

The pair had been helping the motorist on the London-bound carriageway of the A20 at Swanley, Kent, at 11am on Tuesday when the accident happened.

“Two men were assisting the driver of an overturned silver Vauxhall Astra when they were in collision with a silver Mercedes, ” a spokesman for Kent Police said.

“The men, aged 25 and 54-years-old were fatally injured.

“A total of seven vehicles were involved in the incident and a further six people were injured.

“The road was closed for 12 hours to allow officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit to investigate.

“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any dashcam footage that may help them with their inquiries.”
