Man In 80s Questioned Over Savile Abuse Claims Leaves Police Premises

The man in his 80s interviewed as part of investigation into Jimmy Savile sex abuse allegations has now left police premises.

He was interviewed under caution on suspicion of sexual offences after attending south London police premises by appointment at midday on Thursday, the Met Police said.

Officers added that they also executed a search warrant at an address in Berkshire on Saturday 24 November.

The man was interviewed by officers working on Operation Yewtree under the strand of the investigation termed 'Others'.
