Sony commissioned award winning Mexican street photographer, Antonio Olmos, to go back to his roots and capture the Day of the Dead in Mexico City on a Sony Cybershot RX100 III camera. While Day of the Dead is becoming a bigger hit in the UK and across the world, Mixquic is the most traditional place that Day of the Dead occurs every year, in the city’s only Church graveyard. Over 40,000 people line the streets and decorate the graves as part of the ancient Aztec tradition.

These stunning portraits showcase the newborn tiny male Western Lowland Gorilla born to mother Mbeli at Taronga Zoo . . .The baby boy was born on Tuesday and announced by Director and Chief Executive, Cameron Kerr. This is also the first baby sired by Taronga’s new Silverback, Kibali, who arrived at the Zoo in 2012 from France after a global search to follow retiring Silverback, Kibabu. The birth heralds the beginning of a second generation of Western Lowland Gorillas in the Zoo’s successful conservation breeding program.
