The toughest off road run in the UK “The Mighty Deerstalker”, returned to Innerleithen for its 10th year this weekend. The event which is run by leading adventure sports company Rat Race, saw 3,000 men and women dressed head to toe in tweed, tackle mud-filled trenches, water crossings and forest trails in the Scottish borders late on Saturday night. Participants entered the race either as an individual or as a team and could choose between the 5K Deerstalker or the 10K Mighty Deerstalker course. The 5km “Deerstalker” race was completed in daylight and was designed for those competitors who are new to off-road running.
