Scottish Independence Vote As Seen Through Pictures Of Alex Salmond's Face

Alex Salmond Goes From Happy To Sad Yesterday
|

Alex Salmond went yesterday from the leader of an insurgency that was about to make history - to the leader of an insurgency that did not make history.

We have the pictures of Salmond from throughout the historic day, with the fortunes of the Yes campaign illustrated by the facial expressions he pulled.

Today, he announced his resignation as SNP leader after 20 years heading up the party, eight of them as Scottish First Minister.
