April Fools Day 2015 isn't only reserved for household pranks or tricks on co-workers: now everyone wants to get involved in the mischief.

Some of our favourite pranks from advertisers were so ridiculous we're not sure if anyone believed them - and others (like Costa's Japanese ostrich pillows) we really wish were true.

An ice cream company has created this topical... but quite disturbing lolly. The' Kimsicle' pays homage to the reality star's notorious photo shoot in which she had very little on.

The company - The Licktators - has even wheeled out a "nutritionist" who claims that its ingredients like phytoestrogen could boost hormone levels and "lead to a big boost in the size of the posterior."

The yeasty spread brand has announced a new "clear" version which looks like it would make for a confusing breakfast experience. Apparently, psychologists say "eating dark-coloured foods for breakfast can provoke feelings of negativity". This "light" and "positive" Marmite cousin has taken a mere 15 years to develop, and will keep you feeling chirpy all day long.

The future is here. RED Driving School is the first in the UK to offer lessons for driverless cars, so everyone can be up-to-speed on the latest kind of vehicle. All instructors will be able to teach students how to operate the vehicles... which shouldn't take too long.
Tasty methods(06 of11)

Crisp fans, rejoice! Walkers claims to have developed the first ever 'self-seasoning potato'. Its farmers have adopted techniques like watering the potato plants with vinegar and sprinkling salt on them (salt and vinegar) or rolling wheels of cheese across the earth and growing onions among the crops (cheese and onion), so that the spuds pop out of the ground ready-flavoured.
Acting catty(07 of11)
Open Image Modal
Do you love cats so much you could spray yourself in cat urine and pretend to be one? Dog charity Dog's Trust is looking for people to disguising themselves as felines to test out whether its homeless dogs would be comfortable in house with a cat.

The lucky volunteers must be willing to be sprayed with urine so the dogs are convinced they are a cat, to purr and meow on cue and willing to wear a cat suit (which will be provided). The chosen few will take part in a "intensive cat craft training session."
