Donald Trump's Success Triggers Trolling Article From China's Global Times

China Is Trolling America Over Donald Trump

China has trolled the USA over Donald Trump, with a state-owned newspaper saying the preposterous billionaire's rise "worries the whole world" and weakens America's claim to be a force for world peace.

Trump's extraordinary and unexpected success prompted  The Global Times to claim he shows American democracy is "scary".

As Trump retains his lead to be the Republican nominee in the presidential election, the paper wrote an editorial saying "the rich, narcissistic and inflammatory" candidate had "overthrown a lot of conventional norms of US political life".

The tabloid, which belongs to the country's ruling Communist Party, predicted Trump would not win but said the process of stopping him "will be scary but not dangerous".

Violence at Trump's rallies, which he has been accused of helping cause as his supporters repeatedly clash with protesters, has risen and led to a rally in Chicago being called off

The Global Times called Trump a racist, possibly because he advocates building a wall on the Mexican border and stopping all Muslims from entering the country.

"The rise of a racist in the US political arena worries the whole world," the Global Times said.

"The US had better watch itself for not being a source of destructive forces against world peace, more than pointing fingers at other countries for their so-called nationalism and tyranny."

The paper, which, keen observers of global politics will know, hails from a country with a one-party state, said Trump was attracting support because Americans knew "elections cannot really change their lives".

It asked: "Then, why not support Trump and vent their spleen?"
