JUMO, the company behind Africa’s first mobile marketplace and one of the fastest-growing mobile fintech platforms in the world, has launched its public brand today, with its website JUMO facilitates financial access through mobile wallets in a trust-based approach, with no need for a bank account, physical infrastructure or collateral. ACCESS, JUMO’s first product, powers accessible loans for African entrepreneurs, small businesses and individuals, through a purely mobile-based transaction. The service is driven by algorithms which assess mobile wallet and GSM usage to determine suitability for a loan, and identify the best product available from a range of options. New products in development include savings products and other working capital solutions for businesses.

Madame Tussauds London has paid tribute to Queen of the selfies, Kim Kardashian, ahead of her 35th birthday tomorrow, by imagining her ultimate ‘fantasy selfie’, made up of some of the few celebrities she’s never had a picture with.The world famous attraction put its extensive list of celebrity wax figures into action, revealing Kim’s high tech figure – which actually takes selfies with her mobile phone - posing in front of a mixed group of famous faces.The photograph includes one of her fashion idols, Victoria Beckham, a glamorous Marilyn Monroe – to whom husband Kanye West once compared Kim to - and even Her Majesty The Queen smiling for the camera. Mo Farah performs his famous ‘Mo-bot’ in the background, with Nelson Mandela jostling for position nearby and Albert Einstein taking centre stage with Kim. The fantasy selfie is finished off with an obligatory ‘bomb' from none-other than red carpet favourite (and famous celebrity photo-bomber), Benedict Cumberbatch.
