Queen And Charles Celebrate VE Day Anniversary
|

The Queen and other members of the Royal Family along with Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha attended a thanksgiving at London's Westminster Abbey, marking the end of three days of remembrance events celebrating the 70th anniversary of VE Day.

The event was attended by veterans and their families, along with representatives of nations and countries that fought alongside Britain during the Second World War.

The gathering follows a 1940s-themed concert at London's Horse Guards Parade last night which was hosted by Chris Evans and featured performances from Katherine Jenkins, Status Quo, Pixie Lott, and couples from Strictly Come Dancing.

A flyover of current and historic aircraft from the Royal Air Force was to take place Sunday afternoon.
