Stunning Images Show Life In Aleppo After Four Years Of Devastating Conflict

As Syria's national conflict enters its fourth year, we take a look at some recent pictures showing life in the embattled city of Aleppo.

When uprisings against Bashar al-Assad's Ba'athist regime began on 15 March 2011, protests against the state quickly turned into a full-blown civil war.

The government is currently fighting the Islamic State and collected opposition forces on separate fronts. Islamic rebels and the Free Syrian Army hold off al-Assad's men in various major cities, with Aleppo being an important battleground.
