Police searching for a missing woman have discovered a body on a beach. Zara Broughton, 28, was last seen in Wimborne in Dorset on Thursday, May 30.

Her black Renault Clio was found at the Durdle Door campsite on Saturday, June 1. Officers from Dorset Police and the coastguard rescue helicopter scoured the coastal area for Miss Broughton.

A spokeswoman for the force said a body discovered on the beach at Durdle Door on Friday is believed to be the missing woman. She said: "At 2.01pm Dorset Police received a report that a body had been found on the beach at Durdle Door. The coroner has been informed but no formal identification has yet taken place. Officers attended and it is believed the body is that of 28-year-old Zara Broughton."

Miss Broughton left the address on May 30 without money or her mobile phone last Thursday. Following the tragic discovering, Inspector Bob Jacobs of Dorset Police said: "Her family have asked for privacy at this difficult time."
