Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has been given permission to construct huge, luxury treehouses at her home in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The writer put in a planning application to erect two-storey wooden buildings with bay windows costing $387,000 (£250,000) in the back garden of her expansive property.
Several local residents complained about the construction of the treehouses, but officials at Edinburgh City Council have given Rowling the green-light to go ahead with the project after deciding it would not have a negative effect on the conservation area.
The buildings, which reportedly look like the Hogwarts school in the wizard book series, are for the multi-millionaire's two children, David and Mackenzie, to play in.
