It may be Valentines night in the Maynard household but the search for our Team Midas' Voice champion continues. At this stage of the blind auditions the roses need to bloom and really stand out from the thorns.

Just like the coaches, I have my own spinning red chair. I will also listen to the acts with my back turned. At the end of the blind auditions, I too, will have my very own team. Team Midas.

First up, was shop worker Karl Loxley. He would normally be right up my street. Great operatic tone, likeable voice and he sounds like a top bloke. At this stage, with so few places left on our teams, we all have to be careful who we turn for. In the end Will was the only chair that span.

Returning for another shot was 'Chicken Train' singer Si Genaro. I love his positive attitude and his obvious buzz for life, but singing wise. Not for me, or in fact any of the coaches. Si goes home empty seated.

I loved Mia Sylvester and Keedie Green (who auditioned separately), both gave fantastic performances and I do think if either had auditioned in say week one or two, they would have got a chair to spin. Such a shame to see two brilliant singers go home. Keep at it girls and make sure you come back next year.

Lara Lee and Joyful Soundz both did great auditions but without sounding like a parrot, places are minimal and for me and neither are better than I already have. Lara joined Team Sir Tom. Joyful Soundz joined Team Will.

Duo The Rise and Sarah Lovejoy gave it their best shots but no one turned and they went home.

I really liked NK, I mean really liked him. He has a strong adaptable voice, that I feel could sing anything of any genre and totally smash it. Sadly for me, I liked his audition so much that I genuinely forgot to turn around. I am so angry with myself as I think NK is an immense talent. NK ended on Team Rita.

Sheridan Smith's brother Damian Dalton Smith soldiered on, even though his voice had pretty much gone. I think if he had been at his full potential, I would have spun for him. Please keep at it Damian.

Matovu was another singer, who I would have considered if I didn't already have some strong female vocalists. Another faultless audition, thankfully for the show and the public, Matovu joined Team Ricky.

This could be the first time in two seasons of The Voice, that I have gone through a whole episode without my super duper red chair spinning....

With my back to the TV, the last contestant Sheena McHugh's VT really got me emotional. Sheena told us about the car crash that seriously injured her and left her unable to sing. Ten seconds into her audition, my chair was turned, it started so effortless and unbelievably just got better and better. Two words for Sheena, World Class. The vocal at the end of the song is one of the best I have ever heard, whilst working with reality TV shows. This is how you do it. 10/10.

That's it, week six done and dusted. Team Midas now have ten places filled, with just two to go. I really do need to add some male singers to my team next week.

Right, I'm off to spend time with my Valentine....see you next week.
