Angelina Jolie, Mary Berry To Guest-Edit BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour'

The Oscar winner will be championing causes close to her heart.

Angelina Jolie continues to make her stamp on British culture, with the BBC announcing that she’ll be one of five guest editors of Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’.

The Oscar winner will use her slot to examine sexual violence in conflict and women’s health, causes she has long championed in the UK at the side of politician William Hague.

‘Great British Bake Off’ judge Mary Berry will be another editor, and she reportedly plans to discuss topics that include gardening as therapy and beekeeping, the legacy of the Guides and making handmade presents.

Angelina's love affair with the UK shows no sign of abating. Currently based in Surrey with her family while husband Brad Pitt shoots a film here, she was a guest lecturer at the London School of Economics last month.

The guest editors’ week will take place from 13 to 17 June. Other names on the list are Scotland’s poet laureate Jackie Kay, England football Eniola Aluko and Professor Sunetra Gupta. It is the third year that ‘Woman’s Hour’ have invited public figures to make their influence felt on the long-running show.
