Carrie Fisher's Dog Gary To Be Adopted By Her Daughter Billie Lourd

The 'Star Wars' actress never went anywhere without her beloved French Bulldog.

Carrie Fisher’s beloved pet dog Gary has reportedly found a new home, following the ‘Star Wars’ actress’ death

Many fans have been concerned about the French Bulldog since news of Carrie’s death broke on Wednesday (28 December), as she never went anywhere without him.

According to the US website, Gary will live alongside Lourd’s own French Bulldog named Tina.

A family friend said the dog will remain in the family if it turns out Gary and Tina are not able to live together in the long term, but if social media is anything to go by, they already look like best pals.

A spokesperson for Billie confirmed Carrie’s death in a statement on Tuesday (27 December), after she suffered a heart attack on a plane last week

It read: “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning.

“She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”

The family were hit with another cruel blow, after Carrie’s mother and ‘Singing’ In The Rain’ star, Debbie Reynolds, died of a stroke just a day later

Carrie was best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy, a role which she reprised in the seventh instalment in the sci-fi series, ‘The Force Awakens’, released in 2015.

It has been confirmed she wrapped filming on the eighth instalment - due out in December 2017 - prior to her death.
