Chris Moyles 'Retired' From Showbiz Just Months After Tax Avoidance Scandal, And Has His Eye On Cara Delevingne

'I'm Retired Now And Having A Lot Of Fun'

Chris Moyles has confirmed that he’s now “retired” from showbiz, months after it was exposed that he’d been posing as a second-hand car dealer to avoid paying tax.

Since leaving his breakfast radio show in 2012, Chris has starred opposite Spice Girl Melanie C in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and made headlines for his dramatic weight loss - in addition to his infamous tax avoidance scandal - though he’s now revealed he’s taking some time away from the spotlight and is enjoying his downtime.

He told The Mirror that he was loving life as a man of leisure, in an interview during the Glastonbury festival over the weekend where he said: “I’m retired now. I haven’t got any plans and I’m just having a lot of fun.

"I honestly don’t know what I want to do. I’ve done a lot of time on radio and I’ve put myself out there. So, yes, I’m retired. I get to do things like this, come to Glastonbury and hang out.”

Chris also admitted that since losing weight he’s found that he’s become a lot more popular with the ladies, and joked that he’s set himself on one famous female in particular.

Lucky Cara, eh? She’s really won the lottery there.

Chris hosted the Radio 1 breakfast show for eight years, until Nick Grimshaw took over in 2012. Although popular with viewers, he became the subject of several controversies during his time as host, with allegations of sexism and homophobia levelled against him following a number of on-air incidents.
