Dancing On Ice: Jorgie Porter Praises The Show's 'Great Workout'

'It's Fantastic Exercise'

Jorgie Porter has confessed she hadn't worked out for three years until she joined Dancing On Ice.

The Hollyoaks babe is favourite to win the ITV skating competition with professional partner Matt Evers, but admitted the rigorous training had been a shock to the system.

Jorgie said: "The physical side of it is very hard, especially because I'm not the sort of person who exercises regularly - I haven't exercised properly for about three years, since I've been in Hollyoaks really.

"So skating in itself is a real, real challenge. It really tones your body, it's a great workout."

She added: "It's fantastic exercise. You don't even think about how much your body and your legs move. And the more you're not scared by it, the more confidence you get."

However, Jorgie, 24, admits after the live Sunday night show, she doesn't feel in the mood for hours more training and a full day's work at Hollyoaks.

She said: "After a Sunday night show, which is massive, I get on the ice and think, 'Urgh!' My legs won't follow what my mind wants them to do!

"I've been spinning so much, you feel as if you're literally spinning in your own mind!"
