Patriarch of wildlife TV Sir David Attenborough turns 88-years-old today.

Last year the beloved naturalist, whose six-decade career includes a string of BBC smash-hit documentaries including Life On Earth, Frozen Planet and Africa, underwent heart surgery to have a pacemaker fitted.
