Dermot O'Leary Returns To 'X Factor' In New Video, Ahead Of This Year's Auditions

He's back from his *ahem* "holiday".

Fresh from revealing that he will be back to host the new series of ‘The X Factor’, Dermot O’Leary has starred in a new trailer, encouraging people to audition for the show.

Reminding his fans what they’ve been missing since he left the show in 2015, over the course of the video the presenter high-fives a group of excited schoolgirls, shares some banter with a former contestant (don’t blink or you’ll miss Wagner’s cameo!) and, of course, even squeezes in a Dermot cuddle.

Opening up the trailer, Dermot says: “So, I’ve had a lovely holiday and now I’m back, and, more importantly, so is ‘The X Factor’.”

“A lovely holiday?” That’s certainly one way of putting it, isn’t it?

Dermot was confirmed to be back to host ‘The X Factor’ earlier this week, after being replaced by former ‘Xtra Factor’ hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs for last year’s show.

It’s thought that Dermot won’t be the only old face returning, though, with rumours circulating that Louis Walsh could be drafted in once again, following the news that Nick Grimshaw was stepping down from his role on the judging panel.

While Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will also be back, Rita Ora has admitted there’s still a question mark hovering over her future with the show, particularly after revealing that ‘The Voice’ and ‘X Factor’ were both bidding to sign her up.
