The ‘EastEnders’ team have taken the chance to remind viewers that BBC Three has gone online only, with a cheeky mention of the channel’s new website during an episode.

It was tough to miss the plug, which aired in Tuesday (16 February) night’s show, as Sonia Fowler was caught browsing the site by Tina.

Tina then commented: “Ain’t BBC Three a bit young for you? Oh wait, don't tell me - Bex told you she was watching something?"

Nicely done, guys. Smooth.

Before switching over to online only, BBC Three celebrated its vibrant history with an evening schedule packed full of its best ever shows.

Broadcasts included the greatest episode of ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’ in existence (the Vegas one), and ‘Gavin And Stacey’, which was introduced by James Corden himself.

The star, who’s gone from playing Smithy to hosting his own US talk show, praised the channel, stating: “BBC Three has been a huge part of my life and career. It took a chance on me and Ruth Jones and this little show that we wrote.

“For that chance, I and so many other writers and directors will always be grateful.

“I wish BBC Three all the best of luck with your big move online. I can't wait to see what you'll be showing in the future.”
