Lorna Fitzgerald, who plays Abi Branning

Shortly before Lucy’s death, Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) found her father, Max Branning (Jake Wood) kissing Lucy, which would certainly give her a motive, and in Tuesday night’s live segment, Max told his daughter that he knew “whether she had killed Lucy”.

After Abi, the next most popular suspects are Jane Beale, Lucy’s step-mum (14.63%), and her brother, Peter (11.78%).

Peter Beale's finest moment
