FHM 100 Sexiest Women: Mila Kunis Is Crowned 2013 Winner (PICTURES)

It was thought Helen Flanagan or Michelle Keegan would come out on top, but Mila Kunis has been named the surprise winner of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women In The World poll.

The 'Friends With Benefits' star ranked first in the annual readers' vote for the first time, after fending off competition from the likes of Rihanna - who came second - and the 'Corrie' babes who polled third (Helen) and fourth (Michelle).

Mila takes the crown from last year's winner Tulisa, who slipped to 11th this year, and she also ends a four-year run of British winners, after Cheryl Cole topped the poll in 2009 and 2010 (this year 9th), and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in 2011.

Not only is she now officially the Sexiest Woman in the World but Mila, 29, who is currently dating fellow actor Ashton Kutcher, has no less than five major movies hitting cinema screens this year.

Commenting on her triumph, FHM 100 Sexiest Editor Dan Jude, said: “Mila Kunis has had a phenomenal year – she’s starred in the highest grossing comedy ('Ted') and is the most in-demand Hollywood star right now.

"Not only is she naturally stunning, but she has a great sense of humour and isn’t afraid to poke fun at herself. The nation has spoken, and the verdict is that she is officially the perfect girlfriend. She’ll take some beating in 2014.”

Elsewhere in the poll, Kelly Brook saw a triumphant return the top five, for the first time in seven years. She has appeared in more FHM 100 Sexiest lists than anybody else, popping up 15 times since 1995.

Her 'Celebrity Juice' co-star Holly Willoughby rose one place to 23, again trouncing best friend Fearne Cotton who slid 35 places to 77.

Rita Ora proved to be the UK’s biggest riser, moving up 79 places to 15. The biggest overall climber was Taylor Swift, who climbed a massive 87 places to number 12.

Kate Middleton, Abbey Clancey, Paris Hilton and Angelina Jolie were just some of the names who crashed out of the top 100 this year.

Among readers' weird crushes who just missed out on a place on this year's list were 'Daybreak' host Lorraine Kelly, 'Location, Location, Location' expert Kirstie Allsopp and 'Question of Sport' presenter Sue Barker.
