Jeremy Clarkson Makes Embarrassing Admission Ahead Of New Amazon Prime Series

Jeremy Clarkson, future poster boy for Amazon Prime, has made a rather embarrassing admission, ahead of his debut on the streaming service.

The divisive TV personality has joined forces with his former ‘Top Gear’ co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May for a still-untitled new car show due to begin streaming on Amazon later this year, following his controversial departure from the BBC.

However, he has admitted that he isn’t exactly wise to the ways of the website, revealing that he only went on it for the first time this week.

As reported in The Sun, he remarked: “I joined Amazon yesterday, which I am rather ashamed to admit.”

He did manage to squeeze in a bit of positive promo, though, joking: “Has anyone tried shopping on Amazon? How do you stop? I haven’t stopped shopping since. I’m not going to have any money left, I’m going to buy everything they sell, it’s addictive.”

Last year, Jeremy didn’t let never having been on Amazon stand in the way of hawking their products, appearing in an advert for their Fire TV Stick device, and managed to stick the boot into his former employers in the process.

More recently, he took another swipe at the BBC, insisting that they’re too concerned with what he deems “tiresome” political correctness.

Jeremy and co.’s Amazon Prime show will begin streaming in the autumn, while a revamped version of ‘Top Gear’ - with Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc at the helm - is due to return to the BBC at the end of this month.
