Ricky Wilson has admitted he isn’t sure whether he’ll be appearing on the next series of ‘The Voice’ UK.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman joined the series alongside Kylie Minogue in the show’s third series, taking the place of former mentors Jessie J and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue.

However, he’s now revealed to The Sun his future on the show is uncertain, explaining: “I haven’t been asked yet, for a start. People keep telling me rumours of who might join the panel and I’m not sure there’d be a space for me. It would definitely depend on the coaches.”
Kylie has already confirmed that she won’t be coming back as a mentor on the show, as filming conflicts with her ‘Kiss Me Once’ tour schedule.
Ricky has said he understands why Kylie would need to give her tour her full attention, confessing that a Kylie concert seems a lot more heavy-duty than a Kaiser Chiefs gig.
He did also say he would miss his Australian co-mentor if he returned to 'The Voice', telling the newspaper: “It would be weird doing it without Kylie. She helped get me over the edge.”
Ricky’s act Christina Marie finished as a runner-up in the live final of ‘The Voice’ earlier this month, with Jermain Jackman being voted the overall winner by the British public.
However, Ricky himself ended up charting higher than Jermain the week after the live final, as his release ‘And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going’ failed to make the UK top 40 following his big win.
Producers of the show are reportedly hoping to keep Emma Willis on as a presenter for next year's series of the show, with claims she could be getting a huge pay rise to entice her to stay.
