'X Factor' 2016: This Promo Trailer Will Get You Right In The Mood For The New Series

What a 12 years it's been...

If you’re not feeling excited about the upcoming series of ‘The X Factor’, this trailer should hopefully do the trick, taking us through a musical journey over the past 12 series of the ITV show.

More specifically, it’s given us a reminder of some of the - how can we say this? - less tuneful acts who’ve passed through those famous audition room doors, only to receive a “no” from the judging panel.

In fact, the “no”s make up the main portion of the trailer, as ‘X Factor’ judges past and present sing along to the 2 Unlimited classic, ‘No Limit’.

It’s not all about the turkeys, though, as we’re also reminded of some past ‘X Factor’ successes, from their first appearance on the show, including One Direction, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Sam Bailey.

Fans of the trailer - which you can watch in full above - will be pleased to discover there are some more on the way ahead of the new series in the autumn, including one set to Salt-N-Pepa’s smash hit, ‘Push It’.

The forthcoming series will see the return of some familiar faces, with Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne all making a comeback to the panel, alongside host Dermot O’Leary, who will also be back at the helm.

So far, we’ve seen one clip from the show, which sees Nicole back to her usual antics as she gives one hopeful an enthusiastic reaction to his self-penned hit.

‘The X Factor’ will be back on our screens in the autumn, with Matt Edmondson and Rylan Clark taking over presenting duties of ITV2 spin-off show, ‘The Xtra Factor’.
