'Strictly Come Dancing 2014': 'This Morning' Presenter Alison Hammond Confirmed To Join Frankie Sandford And Judy Murray On This Year's Line-Up

Alison Hammond Confirmed For 'Strictly'

Alison Hammond has been confirmed as the third celebrity on the line-up for this year’s series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The Birmingham-born former ‘Big Brother’ housemate confirmed her spot on the show while presenting ‘This Morning’ on Tuesday.

She says: “I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the ‘Strictly’ team. I am ready to immerse myself in glitter and hard work, with a dash of fun along the way!”

Alison had teased her big announcement with a cryptic post beforehand, writing:

She had been previously tipped to appear in the series, with a source saying last month that she had “jumped at the chance” to throw on her dancing shoes, adding: “Alison’s personality is infectious and the bosses are sure she will be popular. She has the kind of charisma and humour that people love.

“There is no doubt she will throw everything into her dance training. She could be one of this year’s real surprises.”

Alison is now one of three confirmed famous faces who will be strutting their stuff on the ‘Strictly’ dance floor when the show returns to screens later this year.

Last week, Frankie Sandford of The Saturdays officially announced that she will appear on the show, saying: “This is going to be so different from anything I have done with The Saturdays. I just can't wait to get started."

Among the stars still rumoured to be on the line-up include former ‘TOWIE’ cast member Mark Wright, who has said that he’s been “in chats” with producers to appear, though he’s adamant that his fiancée Michelle Keegan would not be joining him.
