'Strictly Come Dancing': Lee Ryan Has Some Fighting Talk After Landing In The Dance Off

He failed to secure the public's support after his performance on Saturday.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Lee Ryan has come back fighting after landing in the bottom two this weekend.

The Blue singer addressed his critics in a defiant post on Instagram, insisting viewers will have to “drag” him out of the competition.

Sunday’s results show saw Lee and his partner Nadiya Bychkova compete in the dance off alongside Susannah Constantine and Anton Du Beke

The pair seemed especially shocked as their Jive on Saturday night had scored them 26 points, and they placed seventh out of 15 on the leaderboard when their scores from last week were combined.

Having failed to secure the support of the public and their votes, Lee later took to social media after the judges decided to save him and Nadia.

Posting a picture of a rhino, he wrote: “I didn’t survive in this industry for 20 years now without growing some thick skin like this dude!!

“I’ve been knocked down more times than a bowling pin - it’s how you come back fighting that shows the true strength and character of a person.

“You gotta drag me and @nadiyabychkova out of this show @bbcstrictly !!!”

After Susannah and Anton’s exit aired on Sunday night, she was the subject of tabloid reports she had thrown a “backstage tantrum” - something she has spoken out to deny.

Posting an image of the headlines on Twitter, she wrote: “Bollocks, bollocks and more bollocks.”

A BBC spokesperson added: ”[The story] is total nonsense. Susannah was a firm favourite amongst the cast and crew and we’ll miss her lots.”

Anton has also been forced to speak out against reports he’s quitting the show after this series, insisting he will be back “whether they want me or not”.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.

Seeing Danny Dyer taking his trotters for a Jack Plance is exactly what TV was made for, and whilst it might seem unlikely he'd ever sign up, don't forget he once said he'd "never" do 'EastEnders'... (credit:Matt Crossick/Matt Crossick)

Nigella loves anything decadent and extra, and with 'Strictly' being the most decadent and extra show on TV, quite why she hasn't signed up yet is a mystery to us. (credit:Lou Rocco via Getty Images)

Bosses may not be keen on casting former reality TV stars, but they should probably make an exception for 'Drag Race' alum and 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner Courtney, who would bring some drag queen glam to the often binary world of ballroom. (credit:PA Archive/PA Images)
Idris Elba(04 of15)

He may be busy having a huge Hollywood career, but wouldn't it be great to see Idris back on home turf? Plus, just look at how smooth he'd look in ballroom top and tails. (credit:PA Archive/PA Images)

When it was teased one of the 2018 contestants would be revealed on 'Loose Women', many fans predicted it would be panellist Stacey Solomon getting her dancing shoes on. And as much as we're excited to see Lee, Stacey would have been a brilliant booking. (credit:Doug Peters/EMPICS Entertainment)

The 'TOWIE' star was holding out for a spot on the 2018 line-up by way of compensation from the BBC, following *that* on-stage fall at the Radio 1 Teen Awards. Every series needs a sportsman, and what better man than former England captain and all-round good guy Rio Ferdinand? Given all that footwork on the pitch, we reckon he'd probably have the moves on the dancefloor too. (credit:Pierre Suu via Getty Images)
