Ant McPartlin And Ex-Wife Lisa Armstrong Granted Divorce, Nine Months After Split

Ant McPartlin and his estranged wife Lisa Armstrong have been granted a divorce, nine months after first going public with their split.

The former couple filed for divorce earlier this year, after 11 years of marriage, with a judge at the Central Family Court in London finally making their split legally binding on Tuesday morning.

They first got together more than 20 years ago and married in 2006, where Ant’s regular TV co-host Declan Donnelly served as his best man.

Ant’s representative said in January: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.”

Since the split, Ant is thought to have started a relationship with his personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.

2018 has been another difficult year for the TV personality, who was charged with drink-driving in March, and later fined £86,000 after pleading guilty to the offence.

Ant chose to return to treatment after his arrest, leaving Dec to front the last two episodes of ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ by himself for the first time in their joint presenting career.

It was later revealed that Ant would be absent for both the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ live shows and the upcoming series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, which will see Holly Willoughby stepping into his shoes as a temporary co-presenter alongside Dec.

Ant recently announced that his hiatus would extend into 2019, while ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ won’t be back until the following year.

He said: “My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.

“I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.”
