Dannii Minogue Or Samantha Womack - Who Will Be The Next 'Britain's Got Talent' Judge?

RUMOUR MILL: Minogue Or Womack - Who Will Be The Next BGT Judge?

Former EastEnder Samantha Womack is reportedly being lined up to become the next Britain's Got Talent judge, while ex-X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has also been put in the frame.

The Sun newspaper reports Womack, who quit EastEnders after her controversial baby-swap storyline, is planning a big TV comeback as the ITV talent show's new panel member.

However, The Daily Mail claims Minogue will return to our screens as the new judge on Britain's Got Talent.

They reported: "The former X Factor judge has been told by show producers its a definite yes from them and contracts have already been exchanged."

But a source told The Sun something very different, they said: "Dannii didn't even make the longlist. She's only got a chance if Simon Cowell steps in and gives her the job."

A representative for Dannii Minogue's UK management team Nathan Smith told the website MyDaily: "We can't confirm or deny this story at the moment I'm afraid. It's all speculation at this stage", while a spokesperson for Britain's Got Talent was unavailable for comment.

Whether it's Minogue or Womack that will take on the challenge to find Britain's next star they will be seated next to long-term judge Amanda Holden, who will return for the live shows but will miss auditions as she's due to give birth in the New Year.

However, they won't be joining the rest of last year's judges, after Michael McIntyre quit and screen legend David Hasselhoff was sacked.

The most likely candidate to join Holden and the unconfirmed judge on the panel is Little Britain star David Walliams.

He told The Sun recently: "I'd think about it. But the chemistry with the other judges would have to be right. For me, Ant and Dec are the stars of that show. I'd love to work with them again."
