When Does 'Celebrity Big Brother' 2016 Start? Line-Up Rumours And Everything Else You Need To Know

A new series of the reality show is HERE!
|

It may only be a few months since Scotty T was crowned the latest ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner, but another series is upon us.

While the ‘BB’ house is currently occupied by a bunch of regular housemates, they are vacating the premises tonight (26 July) so that a new raft of famous faces can move in.

As anticipation builds for the 18th series of the Channel 5 reality show, here is everything we know about it so far...

When does ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ start?

Channel 5 have announced the new series will kick off on 28 July at 9pm - just two days after the current civilian run holds its grand finale. We will be locked to our TV screens.

Who is presenting?

As ever, Emma Willis is back on hosting duties, fresh from her latest stint as the master of ceremonies on the regular series. She’ll be on hand to welcome the new housemates on launch night, as well as fronting the eviction shows and live final.

What about ‘Bit On The Side’?

Despite recently landing the job of hosting the new series of ‘The Xtra Factor’, Rylan Clark-Neal will still be presenting the popular ‘CBB’ spin-off. The show is currently airing every week night from 11pm during the normal series, and this is expected to continue for the celebrity run.

The eye has been given a slight redesign from this year’s summer series, with the addition of a star in the middle.

Who will the housemates be?

As is ‘CBB’ tradition, the identity of those entering the Borehamwood bungalow will remain a secret until they are unveiled on launch night, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about who they might be.

The latest rumours have included 80s popstar Samantha Fox, national treasure Christopher Biggins, ‘Gogglebox’ pair Steven Webb and Chris Steed, ‘Mob Wives’ cast member Renee Graziano, former ‘X Factor’ rejects Chloe Mafia and Katie Waissel, TOWIE’s Lewis Bloor, ‘Geordie Shore’ star Marine Simpson, Anthea Turner’s ex-husband Grant Bovey, singer David Cassidy, rapper Lil Kim and Ben Innes, best known for taking a photo with a plane hijacker on an EgyptAir plane.

It’s also been suggested former ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ contestants Spencer Matthews and Lady Colin Campbell could take part, although those reports are looking unlikely.

A spokesperson for Channel 5 added: “The identities of the Housemates are top secret, but we can confirm there will be egos, drama, tantrums and diva strops.”

What is the house like?

The house has just undergone a radical overhaul for the current civilian series, including the addition of a whole second house. However, it is not known if this will be utilised for ‘CBB’.

The compound is expected to undergo a few minor tweaks before the celebs move in, like the cameras being removed from the toilets. We expect it will also need a good clean after the housemates move out too.

A ‘BB’ spokesperson teased: “The BB House has been given a glamorous make-over for our brand new celebrity Housemates, but they shouldn’t make themselves too much at home, because despite the shiny new look of the house they must remember, all that glitters is not gold!”

'Celebrity Big Brother' 2016: All The Rumoured Housemates
Azealia Banks(01 of15)

Azealia kind of has some making up to do to the UK, after essentially slagging off the country's music scene on Twitter at the height of her latest controversy.

Multiple outlets have claimed Azealia could be heading into the house, but given that their main source seems to be a tweet, we wouldn't hold our breath on this one (perhaps unfortunately).

Stephen And Chris From 'Gogglebox'(02 of15)

Yes, please.

These two were the very first celebs rumoured for the new series of 'CBB' - even before the regular series of 'Big Brother' started in June - and given their chemistry on 'Gogglebox', we'd love to see their catty Diary Room asides.

Sarah Harding(03 of15)

Given the impressive list of reality shows Sarah has already racked up since the end of Girls Aloud, 'CBB' doesn't seem too out of the question.

An insider told The Sun: 'She has been offered a lot of money to do it and she is incredibly tempted.'

Lil Kim(05 of15)

The self-professed Queen Bee is said to be getting a similar fee to Katie Price and the late David Gest, who are said to have pocketed the highest fees in 'CBB' history.

And while the successful rapper might seem like a long shot, it's worth noting her past credits include 'The Apprentice', 'Dancing With The Stars' and the short-lived reality show 'Lil Kim: Countdown To Lockdown'.

Helen Lederer(06 of15)

A natural housemate for Lil' Kim, Helen has been slated to be on the line-up for 'CBB', fresh from her appearance in the 'Absolutely Fabulous' film.

Helen's past excursions into reality television include 'Celebrity Masterchef', 'Celebrity Coach Trip' and an ill-fated appearance on 'Splash!'.

Jaymi Hensley(07 of15)

Intriguingly, the rumours about Jaymi's 'CBB' appearance seem to stem from a quote from Union J's manager, who said: 'If they were interested, I'm sure he'd do it.'

Nothing quite like outright asking if your client can go on 'CBB' in a public forum, is there?

Helen Flanagan(08 of15)

Things have certainly gone quiet at Camp Flanagan since the birth of her daughter, Matilda, and it seems she could be about to jump-start her once ever-present spot in the tabloids with a stint on 'CBB'.

"Now that her daughter is a little bit older, it would be the perfect time for her to make her return to the world of showbiz", a source told *sigh* the Sunday Sport.

No, believe it or not, Samantha Fox has actually never done 'CBB'. We're as surprised as you are. (credit:Ian West/PA Archive)
Big Narstie(10 of15)

Another major YES PLEASE from us.

Sadly, though, while we think he'd be an amazing housemate, the reports about Big Narstie's 'CBB' stint stem from the same mysterious tweet that also lists Azealia, so let's not get too excited for now.

Chloe Khan(11 of15)

aka. Chloe Victoria, aka. Chloe Mafia.

Chloe's journey from 'X Factor' reject to webcam millionairess has been an interesting one, and we'd definitely be rooting for her in the 'CBB' house.

But Chloe isn't the only former 'X Factor' star slated for 'CBB', with Katie's name also repeatedly cropping up among the list of rumoured contestants. (credit:David M. Benett via Getty Images)

Well. This is just happening, isn't it? He was on 'Ex On The Beach'. He went out with woman of the hour Vicky Pattison for a while. Chuck him in the house, really. Yeah. (credit:MTV)

US exports Tiffany Pollard, Janice Dickinson and Perez Hilton have all proved to be worth the air-fare once they've landed in the 'CBB' house, and 'Mob Wives' star Renee Graziano looks set to follow suit. (credit:Dennis Van Tine/ABACA USA)
