‘Coronation Street’ bosses are set to test Michelle Connor and Steve McDonald’s marriage, by introducing Kym Marsh’s character’s first love to Weatherfield.

Leon Ockenden, who you might recognise from ‘Waterloo Road’ and ‘Mr Selfridge’, has joined the cast, and will be seen playing Will from April.

Will arrives on t’cobbles to book Michelle as a wedding planner, but it’s not long before the pair remember each other and reminisce about their teenage years together.

As the former couple spend more and more time together, their bond rebuilds, and with Steve in Spain helping his brother, Michelle will be faced with the tough task of avoiding temptation.

Can they stop themselves from acting on their feelings?

There’s been plenty of drama in Weatherfield lately, and viewers will see Leanne Tilsley make a bold decision in this week’s ‘Corrie’, when she decides to report her abusive stepson Simon Barlow to the police.
