Love Island's Curtis Pritchard Lands New Role On The Greatest Dancer

He's joining the team of the BBC dance show when it returns for a second series in 2020.

Love Island finalist Curtis Pritchard has landed a new TV role, as part of the team on BBC’s dance show The Greatest Dancer.

He’ll be responsible for greeting the contestants and “welcoming hopefuls to The Greatest Dancer studio” as they gear up for their audition in front of the judging team.

Curtis said: “To have left the Love Island villa just 10 days ago and to be so quickly given an opportunity to be a part of a show as amazing as The Greatest Dancer is a dream come true!

“When I got the call I was so honoured to even be considered for this so the fact it’s happening I can’t quite believe! Dance is my passion and I can’t wait to meet all the contestants in the new revamped reception area”.

The Greatest Dancer previously featured a team of Dance Captains made up of Cheryl Tweedy, Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse.

It was presented by Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo of Diversity, all of whom are expected to return for the show’s second series in 2020, though there has not been any official confirmation.

Todrick Hall is also rumoured to be joining the show as a fourth judge.

Curtis is set to be on our screens a lot over the coming months, as he will also be serving as a dance mentor on the new UK series of RuPaul’s Drag Race, alongside his brother and fellow ballroom star AJ Pritchard.

This appearance was filmed before he entered the Love Island villa this summer.

Elsewhere, his fellow Islanders have also been busy, with Ovie Soko appearing in a cooking segment on Thursday’s This Morning.

Curtis’ partner Maura Higgins has also been snapped up by This Morning, and is set to star in a recurring segment called Maura Than Meets The Eye, in which she’ll travel around the UK taking on a variety of challenges.

Curtis’ “half-ex” Amy Hart has also made multiple appearances on Loose Women, including once as a panellist.

The Greatest Dancer is expected to return to BBC One next year.
